This is my review after a consultation for nose surgery. At first I was tense because I felt a mix of vague expectations and worry, but once I entered the clinic, the staff guided me kindly, which put me a little more at ease. The consultation started slightly earlier than my scheduled time, and I first spoke with the manager in detail about the shape of my nose that I usually worry about and the parts I wanted to improve. Right after that, I had a one-on-one consultation with the surgeon, who carefully examined my nasal structure and explained the current proportions of my nose, skin thickness, and the balance between the nostrils and the bridge. During the consultation, they did not just listen to the results I was hoping for; they also honestly talked about whether those changes were actually possible and about the realistic range of improvement. They explained in detail how the nose fits with the rest of the face and that excessive changes can be burdensome, which made me trust them. They also gave practical information about the surgical method (open/closed rhinoplasty), anesthesia, recovery period, and cost range, and I was able to ask plenty of questions about the balance between breathing function and aesthetic changes, which I was especially curious about. The surgeon calmly explained which aspects might be difficult because of my nasal structure and which techniques they recommended, and they were also honest about the options and risks that would suit me. The consultation took about 20 minutes, and afterward the clinic showed simulation photos and before-and-after cases to help me refer to them. After the consultation, my vague fear about surgery decreased, and I instead felt that I could make my next decision with enough information and options in mind. Above all, the consultation itself was comfortable and free of pressure, so I would recommend it to people who are thinking about their first consultation.
