Eye Surgery Reviews

For eyes, make sure you really do your research before surgery.

I had incisional double eyelid surgery, fat removal, front canthoplasty, and ptosis correction in 2018. I should have gone to many consultations, but I had surgery at a place recommended by an older sister from my club, and I ended up with sausage-like lids plus uneven lines. Because the line was too high and the asymmetry was severe, for my second hospital I foolishly did not do any research either and went straight to surgery at the first consultation, because a close acquaintance had such great results there. The doctor for the second surgery had some kind of uneasy feeling compared with the first one. It was a vague uneasiness that I cannot really put into words. He told me, right before anesthesia while I was lying on the operating bed, that when he operated on his wife in the past, she had not woken up from anesthesia because he tried to do better for her, as if it were some VIP syndrome. It was frightening. Of course, the second surgery also failed. My left eye developed a double fold, both eyes had lines set too high, and the front part of the eyes became so steep and straight that, compared with my round, soft face, only my eyes looked fierce. I also asked that doctor about revision surgery, and he just casually said, "I’ll do it for you~". He seemed far too careless, which hurt my feelings, so I did not have revision surgery there again. Later I found out he had shut down the clinic and joined another hospital as a salaried doctor. Hah.. Now I am going to more than ten places for consultations because I am planning my third surgery (my second revision). Do not go somewhere just because people you know say it is good. Go to the doctor who, after hearing your explanation, truly understands what kind of surgery they are doing and how important it is!
