21-day review of alar reduction at a Seomyeon plastic surgery clinic in Busan

I found this clinic while looking for a place in Busan that could do alar reduction and would perform the surgery naturally. It was my first nose surgery, and they only told me what was necessary about the surgery I wanted, and the staff were kind too. On the day of surgery, after hearing the explanation and getting the prescription, I changed clothes and had sedation + local anesthesia, which took about 30 minutes. After the surgery, I lay down in the recovery room for a bit and then was discharged. As the anesthesia wore off, my alar area and upper lip felt numb, so I took the prescribed medication right away. I kept taking the prescribed medication, came back a few days later for dressing and taping, and two days later had half the stitches removed, which made things a bit more comfortable. When the surgical site felt uncomfortable, I also took Tylenol, and because the inside of my nose was dry, I applied Vaseline too. Around day 7, I had all the stitches removed and used antibiotic ointment; now I’m recovering while applying scar ointment. My alar flare has definitely gotten smaller, and as you can see in the pre-op photos, I did not have bridge narrowing or tip narrowing. The big swelling is all gone now, but the incision site still shows quite a bit, so I think it’ll be perfect once it heals well. There are other things I still need to pay attention to, and I plan to keep applying scar ointment consistently, but I heard scar aftercare is available, so I plan to keep coming in and checking the progress later. For reference, I had the surgery with an external and internal incision, and the clinic I had it at is [Clinic A] plastic surgery in Seomyeon. If you want a natural look mainly for the eyes and nose, they also seem to be good at other surgeries besides alar reduction, so I recommend them!
