My nose was crooked, and I had once had surgery with an L-shaped silicone implant without really knowing what I was doing, but over time I could see that the skin on my nose had become too thin. My columella also looked tucked inward, and the surgical scar was really severe. On top of that, I had a very bulbous tip, so I was always upset and kept wondering whether this was really a nose that had been operated on. I decided that my revision surgery should be done at a place that would carefully check everything, including skin condition and scars, and after a consultation with the doctor at Somseong, who felt the most professional, I had the revision done with autologous costal cartilage. The conclusion is that I am really, really satisfied. The bulbous-tip look is completely gone, the asymmetry was corrected, and my crooked nose was fixed too. From the front it now looks straight, which makes me so happy. Lately I have been praying every day in the doctor’s name because I’m so grateful. Since my columella had tucked inward, it looked very awkward from the side, but they also gave it a nice shape. The nasolabial angle is exactly what I wanted, so I’m happy... The thin area of skin was treated with fat grafting from the buttock, and I’m glad it was well supplemented without looking artificial or sharp. haha The columella scar was originally from a very severe surgical mark, so it has not disappeared completely, but it is no longer as obvious as before, which I also like. There is still some minor swelling and I need to watch how it settles, but I already like it a lot.
