Hello!! It has been 2 weeks since I had autologous rib cartilage nose surgery at [Clinic A], so I came in to have both the stitches and the splint removed! I thought it would feel refreshing once the splint came off, but there is still a lot to take care of, so I feel both relieved and a little sad.. haha
Before surgery, I did not have major complaints about the height of the bridge between my eyes, but my nose tip was blunt and the bridge was wide, so my overall impression seemed rough.. That was my concern, so during the consultation I showed them photos of O Yeon-seo, whom I really like, and said I wanted a refined, straight-but-slightly-rounded line that was not too dramatic!
I preferred to avoid implants as much as possible..! But they said that if I wanted to clearly define the nose-tip line I wanted and prevent drooping later, autologous rib cartilage would be the best option~! I had a lot of worries because of the scars, but I wanted to do it solidly in one go without needing a revision later, so in the end I chose autologous rib cartilage!!
Director Chuseongcheol also said he would use the perichondrium of the autologous rib cartilage at the nose tip so he could carefully address any visibility issues!
Because my nasal bridge was wide, osteotomy was done as well, and maybe because of that, there is a fairly dark yellow bruise left around the eye area right now.. haha Every time I look in the mirror, I think I still have a long way to go because of the bruising and swelling between my eyes.. haha But still, after removing the splint and checking, the nose-tip line definitely seems more lifted and refined than before, so I am glad haha
The bridge also looks slimmer than before, probably thanks to the osteotomy! For now, daily life feels a bit cautious because of the bruising and swelling, and I do feel anxious every time I look in the mirror, but as time passes I am hoping the straight-but-slightly-rounded line I wanted will come out haha
