Nose Surgery Reviews

10-month update after autologous rib cartilage revision rhinoplasty for a crooked nose and hump!

It has already been 10 months since my revision rhinoplasty, so the major swelling and residual swelling are all gone and I’m in the stable phase now, so I wanted to leave a review. I worried countless times about whether revision surgery would really improve things, and I visited a lot of clinics before deciding. My original nose was very crooked and also had a slight hump, so it was stressful from every angle, front and side alike. Since I was going to do it again anyway, I decided this time I had to finish it for good, and I emphasized to the surgeon many times that I wanted a sleek, moderately glamorous straight line even from the front. I went ahead with surgery after being impressed by Surgeon Kim Hyun-woo at One Top Plastic Surgery, who said he would firmly build the line with autologous rib cartilage. I spent a lot of money on my nose, but seeing the result, I do not regret it at all, T_T I told them I absolutely did not want a round tip because I thought it would not suit me, and after they built a solid support structure with autologous rib cartilage and lifted the tip, there has been no sagging at all so far. It has been maintained exactly in the sleek, slightly glamorous look I wanted. Autologous rib cartilage really does seem to have strong fixation power. Because this was a revision, I spent a lot of time worrying about the material too, whether to use donated rib cartilage or autologous rib cartilage, but since the autologous cartilage came from me, I felt at ease without worrying about side effects. Even the scar at the donor site where the rib cartilage was taken has become barely noticeable, probably because time really does heal all wounds! In plastic surgery, the first step is important, but for revision surgery, I feel like the surgeon’s hand skill and aesthetic sense are everything. I hope this nose lasts for the rest of my life... My nose-father, Surgeon Hyun-woo, please work less and earn more money... For reference, the surgeon feels very perfectionist, so he takes great care of symmetry and the columella and does a very good job!!
