Nose Re-Surgery

1-year review after removal of nasal silicone and autologous costal cartilage

Hello. Over time, my nasal bridge got thinner and thinner, and because using autologous costal cartilage made it hard to breathe functionally, I had it removed 1 year ago. However, the nasal tip is still only adjusted with ear cartilage so it does not lift up.

My nose now is just a normal, natural nose. For about 2 weeks after removal there was some slight lifting because of swelling, but now there is no lifting at all and there is absolutely no inflammation or anything like that.

So I think that rather than removing everything, leaving a little bit of the nasal tip with ear cartilage may help prevent lifting later on.
