I visited Chum, Gayeongseo, Jisoo, and Seoa. I had already posted about Chum, and today I will write about Jisoo. I went in for a morning appointment, got a CT scan, waited a little for the consultation (they seemed to be in the middle of a consultation), and then met the doctor. He listened carefully while I had been taking notes on my surgical history over the years. Looking at the CT, he said the silicone had calcified, and that it would be better to remove all of the silicone capsule. He said that if the nasal bridge were removed, I might feel a sense of loss, so he suggested placing Megaderm instead. When I asked whether Megaderm can also calcify, he said it does not. I told him my pain was severe, and he said the pain was not from the calcification. When I asked what to do about the nasal tip, he said it could be corrected with costal cartilage if I wanted. When I asked whether that would cause any side effects, he honestly said it could feel a bit hard and heavy. He also said osteotomy would be good. So when I asked again whether there would be no side effects, he explained that the bone might not fuse well and mentioned other possible side effects. He was very honest haha So I said I was scared and would not do it, and he said he understood. Then he showed me what the result after revision would look like using some kind of 3D program. He was cool about it all, and during almost 30 minutes of consultation he listened and explained everything in detail and kindly. The reviews seem good too, so I am seriously thinking about it. But the surgery would not be possible until as late as June, so I am still deliberation. After the consultation, I ended up with even more questions, so I am thinking of going for one more consultation before deciding. The consultation fee was 50,000 won. I did not communicate well with the manager. When I asked about things later, they said they would ask the doctor and let me know, but I never got a response. Maybe they were busy.. The surgery cost was the same as at Seoa.
