After removal, I felt completely at ease and just let it go, but I also forgot to write my one-month update, and I came back while looking into facial fat restoration, so I remembered and am writing it now. For some reason, if nothing goes wrong this year, today might be my last update, so I'll come back for a one-year update. I'll leave this here for now. Natural nose: low bridge, high tip, a slightly saddle-like nose Surgery nose: 3 mm silicone + septal cartilage from the tip + donated rib cartilage + ear cartilage Removal: after full removal, to prevent drooping, a support was inserted between the bridge and the nostril using a tiny piece of septal cartilage about the size of an eye booger; the capsule was removed; the cartilage was repositioned; no other manipulation xx
For now, I'm not completely satisfied, but I am feeling very mentally comfortable. Reason I'm not fully satisfied: I don't know if this is scar tissue or what, but the wall between the nostril and the alar base has protruded a little like a bump. Other people don't notice it, but I can see it a bit myself. It's not something that looks problematic to others, so it's only mildly annoying and doesn't affect me enough psychologically to be a real issue. Still, I'm going to ask the hospital on Monday. Contracture period: I didn't know what a contracture period would feel like, since removal is my first time. When my nose feels dry, it sometimes feels tight, so I wondered if that was it. Honestly, though, I can't really tell from the outside. Compared with how it looked before removal and after removal, it obviously looks higher now. My natural nose wasn't one with a pretty columella, so I'm not sure whether a contracture period has started. It's only been two months, so I guess I need to keep watching it. Contracture medicine: I wasn't prescribed any, so I haven't taken anything (maybe because almost all of the capsule was removed..?) Softness of the nose: it's only been two months, so it's not fully soft yet, but it's definitely much softer than an implanted nose. It's a little disappointing that I lost some of the refined look in my face, but makeup can cover that, so it's okay. Compared with the implanted nose, my midface looks shorter, which I like! And so far it still looks much better than my natural nose. My natural nose was wider than this, but maybe because swelling is still left, the nose still looks higher than my natural nose. Functionally, there are no problems and it's fine. The incision scar is still there, so I'm thinking about buying scar ointment. Cost: n0 million won ⚠️ Hospital info: I had the removal done at the original hospital where I had my first surgery, but since they don't separately accept removal patients, I can't share the removal hospital info. Before removal, I honestly cried every day and lived with so much emotional pain and endless worry, but now I wonder why I was like that..? Almost nothing has happened. So to everyone thinking about removal, I hope you don't give up just because you're worrying too much about things that haven't happened yet!!
