At previous plastic surgery clinics, I had been told that I had pseudoptosis and that my eyelids were sagging more because of the skin than because of fat. Here, they said I had true ptosis, so I needed eye correction. And when I asked about the information I had studied in advance, I was told that although I had looked up a lot, the information I found was wrong. Then when I asked whether I could at least see before-and-after photos of eyes only, they replied rather curtly that doing so would violate privacy law and asked if I would show the same thing if I were in their position, which felt pretty off-putting.
