Still, the lips that used to twist crookedly every time I opened my mouth have stabilized to some extent. No one can tell I had lip surgery, so I decided to be satisfied just with the fact that I didn't end up disfigured. My lips still feel somewhat numb.
The manager said the swelling would go down in a week, and on the surgery day, the clinic's own promotional video playing at the front desk had the director appearing in person and advertising that after surgery you could even eat a hamburger after discharge, but I was in much more pain than expected, to the point that water was dripping out of my mouth and I panicked, and it was hard to speak. The swelling also lasted for about a month.. It was a surgery with a long recovery.
