I’m writing this because there were really more than one or two shocking things.
Whether the surgery had ended, or whether the patient had just come out of anesthesia.. Along with the sound of “It hurts.. it hurts..!” a noisy voice trying to calm the patient down could be heard loudly all the way to the consultation waiting area.
At that moment, I heard a strange sound of someone slapping the patient who had just finished surgery while saying, “Please come to your senses.”
I was so startled by that sound that I looked at the desk staff.. one person looked at me with a shocked expression and avoided my eyes, one person saw how shocked I was and hurried into the place where the noise was coming from.. The other two said (in a reassuring tone), “Maybe it’s because it was general anesthesia..”
I was really shocked while waiting for the consultation. Until then, I brushed it off thinking, ‘Well, that can happen..’
But that wasn’t the end of it.
I understood why Wish has so many reviews on Gangnam Unni and Babitalk.
They gave patients a discount on the condition that they write 12 posts in one community.
12 posts per patient.. lol The important thing is that even with that review discount, the price is still higher than other places.
When I said I didn’t look at the app before coming, the consultation manager said, “we’re famous there for having the most reviews^^”
...(well, of course they would be.)
The consultation is.. 5 minutes with the doctor, the rest with the manager.
During the doctor consultation, it wasn’t a Q&A format and it was short, (since they have to see you for 5-10 minutes and then move on to surgery lol) so they told me to speak to the manager first.. It felt ironic that I was having to hear about the surgery from the manager when the doctor was the one performing it.
-> I see a few people in the reviews here were angry about the consultation. For me too, they made me wait after calling me there, because the doctor was in surgery, then told me to wait 40 minutes.. I only met the doctor for 5 minutes and the consultation fee was 20,000 won.
The manager kept proudly talking about Caps and other aftercare being free for 2 or 3 sessions and then charging later, which was really strange..
I know all of this is this hospital’s system, and if I don’t like it, I don’t have to go through with it. (That’s why I’m not doing it.) But.. this is just my impression that they seem way too obsessed with money.
Then should we talk about the surgery instead of the system or staff? The manager proudly said the doctor’s surgery takes “40 minutes.” Manager lol if breast surgery takes 40 minutes, that sounds to me like someone else does the rest of the post-op work. If not, then why does this place say the drainage bag is something you “must” do, which clears up one question. (I’m sure people who know can feel it too, right? lol)
The manager, doctor, and coordinators... the way they work is really.... concerning enough to worry me.
I’d even want the younger coordinators to work at a better hospital somewhere else, learn their mindset and system, and protect their beautiful 20s.
(You can’t change the manager and doctor.. it’s already gone too far.)
Playing Christian music in the hospital is really embarrassing as a fellow Christian, and it feels like they’re making Christians look bad, which is shameful. - The coordinators’ makeup and tied-up hair, the constant mirror-checking and chatting in little groups, the mid-surgery staff I saw while dealing with patients, all of it was truly shocking. The mindset you can feel from the smallest things was shocking.
How do I know all this, you ask..? Because they made me wait 1 hour 40-50 minutes lol while the doctor spent only 5 minutes with me.
The older female manager kept saying things like “our doctor is so good^^” and giving baseless praise, but I wonder if she could have her own daughter get breast surgery there.. I wonder if she could have her own mother get breast reconstruction there.
Every little way she spoke, every action, showed the mindset they have toward patients. It was truly the worst.
I went because it was famous, but it was the most shocking place I’ve ever been to for a consultation..
Maybe it has changed a lot.. I don’t know.. Anyway, please don’t go.
Honestly, even 1 star feels too generous..
