To start with the conclusion, it’s been 3 months since the incision revision surgery and one eye is uneven. At the first consultation, I liked the line they drew and thought just an incision would be enough, and that in-out would look pretty, so I booked right away. Before surgery, I drew the line myself. They didn’t show me. A week after surgery, when I went to remove the stitches, I noticed one eye was overly bent. They said they’d fix it right away and did another surgery a week later in a hurry. But then they said it looked like there wasn’t much fat in the eyes and that they might be able to do fat grafting, so we should at least prepare for it. While I was too shocked, the preparation went ahead step by step. After the anesthesia kicked in, while I was out of it, they checked the revised eyes with the nurses and then suddenly said it wouldn’t work, so they proceeded to prepare for fat grafting. The patient, meanwhile, wasn’t prepared at all and hadn’t properly consented, but they said it was simple and proceeded. The doctor left looking satisfied with himself. I was shocked when I came to remove the stitches, but since fat grafting is normally expensive, the manager made a show of saying it was just part of the after-service. After that, for almost a month, the abdomen where they took fat from hurt a lot, and the fat injected into the eyes came right back out. Three months later, the scar on my abdomen from the fat harvest is still there. One month after the eye surgery, I had two lines formed at the inner corner, so I went in to ask about that and other things. (I also couldn’t meet the surgeon when I went to remove the stitches because he was in surgery.)
The manager just said not to worry, everything would be fine. I was so stressed because of this.. When I met the surgeon and asked about the two lines and whether it really matched in-out, and why the line on the inner corner was positioned higher, he said he had made it slightly out-line??;; I had asked for in-out though... I was so stunned I couldn’t say anything, and then he said he was busy with another consultation and to come back in 6 months if there were problems. He spoke kindly and with a smile, but it felt like he was answering after half-listening. Now, 3 months later, it’s an out-line plus two lines at the inner corners of both eyes, and one eye has a different line height, so it’s uneven. I’m getting ready to seek another revision consultation in Seoul.
I’m not sure how good his skill is, but he just seems stubborn. After the surgery, both the manager and the doctor treated me like I didn’t matter. Please keep that in mind.
