At some point I started getting under-eye fat bags and looked hollow. I had the surgery a year ago, and since I'm in my mid-20s now, the stress was no joke, so I made the bold choice to go from outside the city to Seoul for same-day consultation and same-day surgery... Since it was my first surgery, I thought spending time visiting clinics in person was a waste, so I made the insane choice to just do online research. As soon as I went up that day, they took photos, I consulted with the manager, had a short consultation with the doctor, and then went straight into surgery.. During the consultation, they used a comb-like tool to explain my under-eye fat and the expected effect, and I just thought, okay, sure.. Afterward when I got up, the swelling was huge. It seemed like the swelling went down over 1-2 weeks, and I could go right back to daily life, but people were all startled. The residual swelling kept going down until about 6-12 months. A few months after the surgery the under-eye fat started to stand out again, but now it's completely settled. Still, under-eye fat can recur, so if it ever comes back I'll have surgery again. But next time I'll choose more carefully.
