First, apart from the consultation manager, the other staff members were a bit businesslike, but not to the point of being unpleasant. And the doctor's consultation was unlike other hospitals, where they start by checking the eyes and so on. Instead, he first asked what direction I wanted to go in, and confidently said everything could be done, which made me tilt my head. Even if a doctor is 100 on skill, surgery still has unpredictable variables, side effects, and postoperative guidance that need to be explained, and I don't know whether he can really handle all of that, but he was straightforward. Then the consultation manager told me the price, and it was much more expensive than I expected, which shocked me. Still, the surgery reviews and the fact that he seemed more confident than other hospitals, and did not treat my eyes as a common case, gave me some expectations, but the one thing that is making me hesitate is the cost.
