I had chin advancement surgery because I have a receding chin. Honestly, aside from the throat pain from the general anesthesia, I did not have much discomfort after the surgery. The post-op care was also good. But in terms of aesthetics, I do not think my needs were communicated very well. Still, I think this is basically a classic reason why people with long midfaces are not satisfied after plastic surgery. If the midface is long, no matter what you do, the result ends up a bit awkward.
