I decided to have surgery because I was told I looked tired and because I did not like how the under-eye area looked when I smiled. Pros: The consultation was really great. First, they analyzed my under-eye area one by one and explained it, and they also explained the surgical process in detail. The doctor is not the super kind type, but you can still feel the professionalism and thoroughness. I also liked that there was no pressure to make a reservation. Because they use a reservation system, they do not consult too many people in a day, and the number of surgeries per day is also small, which I liked. And the results were very satisfying. Before the surgery, a friend even asked why I was doing this in my 20s, but after seeing the result, they said it was a good decision.
Cons: Expensive. Pain during surgery (if you do not handle pain well, I would not recommend it; strictly speaking, because of the anesthesia, it was not sharp pain but more of a sore, stiff feeling. But at the time I could not really distinguish that. It just felt like, oh, this hurts so much, I’m scared... kind of feeling?) Dry eyes after surgery (prepare artificial tears in advance). If you do not want it to look like you had surgery at all, it seems like about 2 weeks are needed. My under-eyes were so swollen that everyone laughed during that time (I walked every day, did hot compresses diligently, and drank pumpkin juice and pumpkin red bean tea, but it still took about 2 weeks to look normal).
Overall, I am very satisfied. But if I knew about the pain and had to do it again, I would hesitate... I really did not know what I was doing. Still, I love my under-eye area so much that I think choosing this clinic was a good decision!
