I asked for information after seeing on SNS that someone’s double-eyelid surgery turned out amazingly well, and that is how I learned about Dr. Oh Seung-hyun. I visited 11 places in person, and I got natural adhesion double-eyelid surgery here. I am very type A, so I weighed everything carefully, but it was not so much that this place was the only one I liked, it was that Dr. Oh Seung-hyun at K was above average in every respect, which is why I chose him. At some hospitals, even if I liked the consultation, the facilities, and the doctor, when I looked things up again after going home, there would always be one review saying there had been a medical accident or that it was not recommended, and so on. That was not the case here, so I chose it.
Among the 11 places I visited in person, about 6 recommended upper epicanthoplasty as well, but Dr. Oh said natural adhesion alone would be fine. In the end, it was the right choice. The line is exactly as visible as I wanted, and I like it. At the consultation, I had printed out photos of the eyes I wanted and the eyes I did not want, and he even explained why the unwanted eyes ended up looking that way. My right eye is a little more swollen and the two eyes are not 100% identical, but everyone is asymmetrical and the swelling has not fully gone down yet, so... Even if the two sides are not 100% the same, they are about 85-90% similar, so I think that is fine. As the swelling keeps going down, my eyes are becoming the ones I wanted.
The hospital facilities are average. It looks good on the surface, but if you look closely there are some not-so-great parts. The sink drain was clogged, so when I washed my face before surgery, the water would not go down, and the waiting room chairs were scattered around here and there? Also, the staff are just about average in terms of kindness. Because natural adhesion does not require stitch removal, I no longer have a reason to see the doctor, so you can think of the post-op care as basically nonexistent. Of course, if you go to remove stitches or if something goes wrong, they will take care of it, but since I have no more reason to see the doctor, I did wonder if this was really right lol. Personally, cosmetic surgery is a big deal for me...! And during the period when I was searching online and visiting in person, it seemed like the doctors changed in and out a few times. It does not seem like the kind of hospital where the doctors stay put for long. Oh, and they said they would only do a light sedative anesthesia and wake me up in the middle, but I do not know whether I just do not remember it, but I was awake by the time the surgery was completely over. I had seen the doctor’s face before surgery, so I was not worried, but anyway, that is how it went.
