I had consultations at a total of three places. One said it could be done with buried sutures, and one place famous for revisions said buried sutures were absolutely impossible and that they would definitely come undone within a year, treating it like a difficult eye / a problematic surgery? They said skin would have to be cut away and so on.
Orange recommended incision, but said even if I did buried sutures, it would not be an eye that would loosen quickly, and that they could provide 10 years of after-sales service. They seemed confident in their skills, which made me trust them, so I chose them. They said there was no need for fat removal or canthoplasty, and they absolutely did not push excessive surgery.
What worried me most after deciding on Orange was hearing that if they tie it tightly, it shows when I close my eyes. There is also the saying that if it is tied too loosely, the buried sutures will come undone quickly. So from consultation day to surgery day, I did not tell the doctor what to do and what not to do, and just went with a fully trusting, leave-it-to-them attitude, thinking the doctor would be more comfortable and would perform best by following their own judgment. I just kept saying yes yes~~ because they would know better than I would..
On one side, when I close my eyes, there is no visible sign at all and it looks completely natural. On the other side, the line does feel a little pinched, but I think that eye has weaker opening strength and more fat, so that may be why. But other people say it is not noticeable.. And they say it becomes more natural over time.
The doctor showed me four line options, I think, and the line the doctor recommended was the third one. I briefly thought about choosing one level lower, but I just said yes yes. In the end, I am glad I listened to the doctor. I was not going to do it, but if I had not listened I would probably have regretted it..
