I had rhinoplasty here 10 years ago. At first, my flat face gained more dimension, so I was really happy~ But as I got older and my skin got thinner, problems started to appear little by little... I think as long as silicone is used, it would have been the same anywhere...
I visited for a consultation before revision surgery, and they said my nose was healthy and that if I wanted revision, they would keep the Medpor in place, keep the silicone height the same but replace it with new silicone, and cover it with AlloDerm. They also recommended alar reduction.
I had made an appointment and went, and there was not a single person in the waiting room, but since they were in surgery, they apologized for the delay and made me wait an hour for a 3-minute consultation.
Nasal tip redness. Silicone visibility. Cartilage visibility... no matter what I asked, they only gave careless answers saying nothing was wrong and ended the consultation quickly. I felt really bad. I could understand the visibility as my skin got thinner with age, but the alar reduction 정말 made me think this was not right. There was absolutely no explanation about alar reduction either. Anyway, after cosmetic surgery my nostrils had become long triangular shapes, which was really ugly, and my alar base has very little tissue and is really small. I kept wondering whether I would still be able to breathe if I reduced it. It would probably make Michael Jackson look tame. I couldn't understand why they recommended something like that. I felt that the doctor's style and mine just did not match.
Currently, my bridge has 3 mm silicone, and the tip has septal cartilage and Medpor. The silicone visibility is very severe now, and the tip is hard and makes a clicking sound when pressed. So I am seriously looking into revision surgery.
