I had surgery a few years ago, and my eyes now are almost no different from before the surgery.......... Part of it is my own fault for not doing enough research or visiting enough clinics in person, but during the consultation, it would have been nice if they had told me that my eyes were the kind that would not benefit from surgery, or explained the side effects of ptosis correction, and so on.. If I had done a lot more research and in-person consultations, I probably would have just had an inner canthoplasty and skipped double-eyelid surgery altogether. Luckily there were no complications, but once the swelling went down and my eyes returned to how they were before, I kept wondering why I even did it............. the swelling lasted a whole year.. T_T
