I had a consultation for nose revision surgery with Dr. Choi Jung-hyuk. First, I had a 10 o’clock appointment, but I waited on the first floor, then went up and got another X-ray and had a meeting with the consultation manager, and only saw the doctor at 11. The doctor is definitely someone who pursues a very natural look. For my first surgery, I had a non-implant nose surgery using septal cartilage, but the moment the support in my nose was removed, it collapsed into a saddle nose. But even when I explained all that, they still did not take a CT and only took an X-ray. When I said my nose had collapsed, the consultation manager kept saying things like, “You have not been to an ENT doctor, right? You have not been diagnosed, right?” which made it feel like they were dismissing it as just subjective symptoms. When I asked whether the deviated septum could be corrected, the doctor said it was hard to give a definite answer and that they would have to open it up to know. They said the drooping alar rim could not be improved either, so I left in tears. Instead, if I wanted, they said the tip of the nose could be improved with ear cartilage, but the price was around 350? It was the same amount as my first surgery. I felt like they really were not trying to sell me anything, but it also seemed like they did not have much aesthetic sense or deep research into noses. When I went to another clinic, they took a CT and said it had collapsed. They also said the alar rim could be improved.
