My friend and I had our surgeries on the same day but at different times, and my friend turned out so naturally that even after 15 years, her husband still doesn't know she had surgery and she's doing well. I was told they would shave a little of the membrane and insert thin Gore-Tex. But I was probably too impatient about my nose at the time, because after just one month I wanted it removed due to dissatisfaction with the shape (to my eyes then, my nose looked too high and pointy). They told me to wait because it was swelling, but I insisted and had it removed. After removal, at first it actually looked more natural so I was satisfied, but from about a year later my nose started to lift a little. I was scared of revision surgery, so I endured it for 15 years, but now I'm looking into revision surgery and I'm even wondering if I should go to Gaam again. I'm someone who regrets not waiting until the swelling went down back then instead of having it removed. But the Gore-Tex really seems to absorb well, because honestly no one knows my friend had surgery and everyone just thinks her nose was naturally high and sharp. She originally had an extremely small and low nose, so I guess that case turned out well.
