I was told the scheduled surgeon would be delayed, so I asked if it was okay to consult with another surgeon, and I had the consultation with that other surgeon. I was told that if I decided to go ahead anyway, I would have another consultation with the scheduled surgeon on the day of the surgery.. So the other surgeon came in, and maybe because they were newly appointed, they looked very, very young (maybe around my age..??). They explained things mostly focusing on the surgical method, and I do not think they examined my nasal cartilage in much detail. I also did not get a clear explanation of where the cartilage would be tied.
