It’s been about 2 years since I had nose surgery, so I’m writing this.. I got it from Director ㅎㅇㅈ at ㅇㅇㄻ, and it was a revision for my eyes and my first nose surgery. For my eyes, I had ptosis correction and double eyelid surgery before, but my right eye came undone maybe twice, and then it came undone again, so I went to have it redone. For my nose, I hit a really intense ugly phase and I think I decided on it kind of impulsively.
My nose was slightly long but low, so it didn’t really stand out, and it was also slightly bulbous, so overall I was closer to a plain, cute type(?). My face is naturally very plain (even after fixing things), so I went in saying it absolutely had to be natural but defined!! At first the doctor kind of pushed his own opinion, but in the end he said okay. But basically, I do think he catches needs well, though the director’s own taste seemed very... like he prefers flashy results. So my nose also came out more flashy than I expected. (That’s when I realized how important the surgeon’s taste is, yep.,.) The shape itself is pretty, but it feels a bit like it doesn’t suit me?? I guess. Only the nose is too edgy and sparkly lolololol. Anyway, that was the case, but it’s not like I became uglier, so I decided to just be satisfied and live with it.
But at around 3 months, the nasal tip dropped. The bridge between my eyes was originally high, but once the tip dropped, my nose looked extremely long. I absolutely didn’t want to lie on the operating table again, but I looked about 5 years older, so I eventually decided on revision surgery. Since it had definitely dropped, the doctor also said okay and we went into revision surgery. After recovering from the revision, when I touched my nose, I could feel that the structure was different from before; seriously, supports had been placed very firmly here and there, so now it’s been about 2 years and the nasal tip still hasn’t dropped. But unlike the first time, my nose is extremely uncomfortable and the sensation feels strangeㅠ I do think it’s something I have to accept, but now that it’s part of daily life, it’s even more uncomfortable than I expected, yeah.......
So what I ultimately felt was, first, you need to properly know your own taste and what shape suits your own face, and second, nose surgery is not something you can take as lightly as double eyelid surgery.. Those two things. If your bridge is originally high and you only need to lift the nasal tip slightly with ear cartilage, maybe that’s different, but if not, and it’s at the level where they have to harvest from here and there and do major construction, I think you should either just live satisfied with your own face or be prepared for that much. Yep, I’m saying this because I decided a bit impulsively lololol. In the end, it’s just a neutral take,, There are a lot of reviews with truly dramatic transformations (congrats to everyoneㅠ), so you may be tempted, but I hope you calculate exactly what you gain and lose, make a wise decision, and get amazing results.
