The clinic that ruined my life. After Thermage here, a laser-complication recovery clinic diagnosed a collapse of the midface area (front cheek, under-eye). Their opinion was that the strong energy heated the dermis, and the heated dermis likely affected the fat layer, and that the Thermage design failure seems to have removed the front cheek. (I am still visiting clinics and looking for one that can help repair it.) The non-specialist owner of The Body Shim insisted Thermage could not possibly affect fat, but after this happened, many dermatology specialist clinics I visited said Thermage can indeed cause fat loss. During the procedure, the doctor said, "I'm turning the energy very strong right now, but it's not something I can do just by enduring it. I'm doing the procedure while visually checking the skin, and your skin is responding well to the laser, so I can do it this way." I believed that, but surprisingly, even though it was Thermage, from the next day onward my facial fat gradually disappeared. (I apparently had plenty of cheek fat, so the side cheek seems to have held on at least this much.) Also, the procedure was done without any separate design planning. (It was my second visit, but there was no design for the previous procedure either, and Thermage was my first time.) Because I had no expert knowledge, all I could do was hydration management, which even made me miss the golden time for regenerative treatment. (They let that end by talking about lawsuits and partial refunds. They said it makes no difference to your own money whether it is handled through the medical mutual aid association, so process it quickly because they are stressed and want to get this matter out of the way haha. At first after the procedure, the strong pulling sensation changed my eye shape a lot, but from the damage caused by it, my eye shape has now returned to how it was before, while the skin around my eyes has been badly damaged and wrinkled (the fine lines were only a little on the forehead due to ptosis and absolutely nowhere on my face), my pores have also widened a lot, fat has been lost, and rather than improving, skin elasticity has decreased. Beyond appearance, after Thermage I complained of strong pulling from deep within the skin and a burning sensation, and requested a medical certificate to move to a tertiary hospital, but they said there was a medical compensation mutual aid association case involved, so how could they write a certificate when our opinions differ, and told me to get it from neurology or another hospital. I suffered similar complications to people who had severe side effects from Ultherapy or Shurink after a strong procedure. It was truly terrifying, and every day was full of tears. I was someone who was extremely positive and had the highest satisfaction with life, so the fear of having dark thoughts and wondering how I should go on living was overwhelming, and the doctor's response left an even deeper wound. Because of this, I am living while paying for regenerative treatments every week that cost hundreds of thousands of won out of my own pocket. I am currently considering taking leave. If you ruined one person's life, please reflect and study properly. You kept insisting that the under-eye area could not have collapsed because the tip was not inserted there, but anatomically, when the front cheek collapses, the fat pocket under the eyes that was above the collapsed area moves downward, and as a result, what is visible from the outside becomes a form where both the under-eye area and the front cheek seem to have disappeared, as many doctors explained to me, doctor. Everyone, please get procedures from a dermatology specialist. Or get them done at a clinic that can handle complications or at least acts with integrity. This is a review for the public good.
