First of all, the director did give enough consultation and was thorough. For functional surgery, one side of my inferior turbinate did get a little bigger, but if the patient is okay with it, they don’t strongly push it and say it doesn’t have to be done. Still, it came up two or three times. They pursue a natural line, so the director’s aesthetic taste matches mine, but they strongly prefer a septum plus ear cartilage, which is what bothers me the most. Rib cartilage is possible too, but even for a first surgery the price was outrageous, so hearing the price instantly cooled me off. I’m having surgery because of the nasal tip, but I’m worried the septum might sag later, so I’m really torn about whether to do it here. And there seemed to be two or three coordinators. The one who took my CT was kind, but my assigned coordinator didn’t seem very kind.
