I had the consultation last year. Overall, the doctor did not feel like the type to explain things first. They would just say something like which material would work and ask if I had any questions, so if I had nothing to ask, it felt like the consultation would just end there. They also seemed to prefer donor rib over autologous rib. The manager was kind and worked hard during the consultation. They said donor rib is cheaper than at other hospitals, and that donor rib is a whole piece cut into the needed size and used as needed, but... I was disappointed that the doctor did not look at things as carefully as I expected.
