I went for a nose consultation, but as soon as I sat down, the doctor said, “You probably need your eyes done too~” I was also considering double eyelid surgery, so how did he know… Anyway, he looked at the CT for quite a while, checked the amount of septum and how crooked it was, and said we should use the septum. More than just “a pretty nose,” it felt like he was looking at the harmony of the whole face? He talked about facial proportions, tried lifting the nasal tip, placed silicone on the bridge, and discussed everything while looking in the mirror. He said the dorsal hump should be shaved down, but the osteotomy of the nose would be decided after opening it up on the day of surgery. I was debating between septum / donor rib / autologous costal cartilage, but it seemed like he preferred the septum first and kept donor rib as plan B. If I wanted autologous costal cartilage, they would need to harvest rib, so that would have to be plan A. But since it is my first surgery, he did not recommend it because it would be overcorrection. The doctor had a bit of a brutally honest vibe, and since he knew I had researched noses a lot, he told me many things about my nose. And the manager was really legendary.. There was not even a suggestion of same-day booking, let alone pressure to do it. After asking how long I was going to keep going around to other clinics for consultation, she said she would contact me again around then~ When I said, “There is no pressure for same-day booking here!” she said they do not pressure patients for same-day booking because it would be burdensome from the patient’s point of view and, in good conscience, they do not do it.
