My nose is blunt, so I went in thinking about autologous costal cartilage that could support it. They did a CT scan, and because the septum seemed okay, they said they would open the nose during surgery, check the condition, and if it was fine use the septum; otherwise use donated rib cartilage. I got the feeling they do not use autologous costal cartilage much?
