I didn't research properly and booked surgery after looking at YouTube, blogs, and photos, and even paid the deposit. But after reading the reviews here, I became anxious, so I asked the clinic's consultation manager. They said I already had a scar on my eye and that surgery would just leave another scar, asking what the big deal was. When I asked about the side effect of not being able to close my eyes properly, they said it was my decision whether to have surgery or not and that the deposit could not be refunded, so I should figure it out myself. In the end, the surgery would have caused more scarring in the eye and difficulty closing the eyes, and the consent form said my eyes could become uneven and, if revision surgery were needed, I would have to pay extra without any aftercare concept. I ended up losing the deposit and giving up on surgery. I thought maybe my case would be different because everyone's eyes are different, so I requested a consultation. But the doctor's first words were, if you are not sure, don't have surgery. We cannot refund the deposit. After hearing that, I thought it would be better to lose the deposit, which was 10 percent of the surgery fee, than regret it later, so I gave up on surgery. If my eyes later became uneven, scarred, or couldn't close properly, they would not take responsibility anyway... I actually felt relieved. I just lost the tens of thousands of won I spent on lessons after being swayed by YouTube and blogs and not researching properly.. Still, when I thought about how I might have ruined my eyes and suffered mentally if I had gone through with it, it felt like a relief... I learned that I should search first and not be fooled by a doctor saying everything is possible.
