Eye Surgery Considerations

First Button Community Review

I do not like the shape of my nose. The nasolabial angle was not corrected at all, and the angle of my nose looks upturned. This clinic seems to pursue a style that looks shorter without reducing the columella, with the nasal tip brought together. They also seem to set the height of the glabella relatively high. After rhinoplasty, the asymmetry between the two sides of my nose became worse, which caused me a lot of stress. I am simply living with it, but I was disappointed not only with the nostrils but also with the overall balance and aesthetic design. Before proceeding, I was told and agreed that the nostrils could not be made symmetrical, but putting that aside, from the front one side is shifted, so the two sides of my nose are different sizes. They emphasized the columella so much, but it did not project, and it was not the shape I wanted. My concern was a short nose, but it is still short; it even looks more upturned because it became higher. I am satisfied that there are no complications and will consider revision if a problem develops. I do not think I would choose this clinic for aesthetic reasons. The facilities were excellent. The price was not cheap. I expected more from the consultation, but it felt short, perhaps because they were busy. Even the surgery was delayed, and I entered one or two hours late. What was good was that both the coordinator and director seemed to try to help somehow regardless of the result. The director even monitored my progress. I would recommend it if stability matters more than design. Please proceed only after considering that the design is conservative, the change from your current nose will not be dramatic, and the result is natural. It seems better suited to long noses or beak-like noses. If you have a short nose, I recommend looking elsewhere.
