(Photos will be deleted soon,,) Ever since I was young, I always thought I had to get my nose done, but now that I’m finally looking into clinics and going around for consultations, it’s so hardㅜㅜ Seriously, every clinic has a completely different surgical method,, I’m not good at writing, so I’ll try using a note-style tone to make it at least somewhat readable,,!
My nose: hump nose, drooping nasal tip (arrow nose), crooked nose, long nose, thin skin My nasal bridge is thin but already has some height, so no desire for more height; hoping for a nearly straight semi-straight line, safety first, natural-looking
Booked 6 places total, very likely to add more,, lol Common points - proceed without implants. Use septal cartilage, and use ear cartilage if needed
1. ㅊㅇ-ㅂㅇㄱ (370) Price is +20% if you don’t write a review I visited here after seeing reviews on ㅂㅂㅌ because the noses in the reviews were my style The director also looked like he had a really good impression image-wise, so I went, and the clinic interior was really pretty, like a popular cafe spot I was about 10 minutes late on a weekend morning, but they immediately had me fill out the chart and take photos. I went into the consultation room and briefly talked with the consultant about the areas I wanted surgery on She told me to wait a moment, so I thought the director would come right away, but I only got to see him an hour later,, It was my first consultation so I was really dumbfounded, but now I know all clinics are like this,,, I’ve almost given up nowㅜㅜ The director was calmer than I expected, kind of AI-like? Since it was my first consultation, I had a lot I wanted to ask My first impression was that if I asked more questions than he thought were necessary, he seemed annoyed When I asked questions about things I had looked up before the consultation, like how the surgery would be performed, it felt like, “I’ll handle the professional stuff, so why are you asking?”,,? lol I was a bit flustered I’m paying several million won of my own money to operate on my own nose, and I can’t even ask things like this?;ㅜㅜ The surgical method he explained was: shaving the hump, lifting the columella, building the nasal tip with septal cartilage and, if needed, using ear cartilage to fill the glabella and sunken areas of the nasal bridge, and for the crooked part of the bridge, he said they would do something like valve expansion grafting? But that valve thing was a surgery I’d never heard of, so I asked, “What cartilage do you use?” His answer was that anything from my body would be fine, which felt a bit irresponsible. If he had said it could be done with autologous dermis or ear cartilage, I would have understood, but honestly this place was a bit disappointing compared with the reviews,, He said it could remain slightly bumpy after surgery (because silicone isn’t being used) And he recommended forehead fat grafting? lol The consultant came back in and explained the price, and even told me the price for fat grafting haha The consultant was kind,, the price was lower than I expected and the review photos were pretty, but I’m not really drawn to it,,
2. ㅈㅇㅈ-ㄱㅎㅇ (480) The price is higher than the previous clinic, but here private insurance reimbursement is possible, so they asked from the chart-writing stage whether I had insurance When explaining the price, they separated functional nose/cosmetic nose in the explanation But I don’t need functional nose surgery, and it felt like they were slightly recommending it. I wondered if they were trying to fill up the amount by emphasizing insurance My appointment was at 3, and I arrived 10 minutes early, but I could see the director at 4:50. The price they gave included a discount because they apologized for making me wait so long,, First they took photos and a CT scan. What I liked here was that they provide aftercare? Hospitalization is possible, up to two days, and all of it can be processed through insurance. Whenever you visit the clinic to check the surgical progress, you can get infrared and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help recover faster. Both the consultant and director were kind. What they explained was: cartilage to use - septal cartilage, ear cartilage if needed, shave the hump, raise the nasal tip using cartilage obtained while correcting septal deviation, and slightly fill the glabella just above the hump Here, they said they grind cartilage, reshape it, and attach it for use. Slightly osteotomize the nasal bridge and move it a little to correct the crooked nose Inferior turbinate resection Here, an anesthesiologist is on site and they use general anesthesia (general anesthesia is kind of scary,,) Places that do sedation say general anesthesia is the most dangerous, and places that do general anesthesia say sedation is the most dangerous, so what is actually right CCTV can be viewed if requested in advance Everything is good here, but I wonder if I really need functional nose surgery (because at the next clinic, they showed me cases that need surgery and cases that don’t, and said I absolutely don’t need it,,, though the CT taken here and the CT taken there were a bit different. Why do they come out different when they scanned the same person;;;). Also, since it’s a large clinic, I feel uneasy that they might not take responsibility if a medical accident happens.
3. ㅍㄹㅁㅇ-ㅊㅎㅅ (495) The price keeps getting higher.. this is if I leave a review on the website, and the original is 500 (+50 if using ear cartilage) I went because I heard this place is really famous. Of course, waiting over an hour is standard, and they said it was because the director’s surgery was delayed But while waiting, the directors at that clinic were busily moving around, so I thought they really are busy, and when I heard he sometimes does as many as 4 surgeries a day, I was shocked. Here, the director was kinder than the consultant. They also took a CT here, but the most ridiculous thing was that the desk staff put me into the CT area, started the machine, told me to come out when it was done, and then went back to the desk and was on her phone lolololololol don’t staff usually open the door for you,,,,, why are all the staff except the consultant wearing such short skirts,, they kept pulling their skirts down while walking and it reminded me of middle school,,,(am I an old nag? hahahaha) The consultant,,,, didn’t introduce herself, didn’t greet me, just,, only said what she had to say,, maybe it felt even more that way because the previous clinic was so kind This place specializes in eyes and noses, CCTV can all be viewed, sedation anesthesia, no anesthesiologist, and discharge right after surgery. No aftercare, 3 follow-up visits after surgery, laser possible if you pay the cost. Surgery: shave the hump, lift the nasal tip (about 1-2 mm with septal cartilage?), said the crooked nose cannot be corrected. He said it isn’t crooked from the bottom but the nasal bony framework itself is crooked, so correction isn’t possible, and if the hump is shaved, the crookedness will look less noticeable, and whether or not osteotomy is done would be similar,, But why does this make me trust them more lol No matter how well the hump is shaved, it will be closer to straight than semi-straight; slight bulbous nose correction (without making it look pinched), even after shaving the hump, filling the nasal tip, and filling deficient areas with cartilage, unevenness may remain. Use ear cartilage if needed, osteotomy possible, the hump can grow back but it would be to a natural degree. Inferior turbinate resection not needed. The septum is only very, very slightly deviated, so no need to do it. Nose surgery isn’t difficult, but since my nose could look obvious even with a small change, the priority is making it look subtle.
Phew~ this is really long If you have questions, leave a comment,,, I’m going to 2 more places tomorrow and I’m so tired,,ㅜㅡㅜ
