I had naturally thin inner double eyelids. Up close they were visible, but from far away my eyes looked small and like I didn't have double eyelids, so about 5 years ago I went in somewhere random, had a consultation, and went straight into surgery at Jerim Plastic Surgery. The staff were kind and the facilities were pretty good too. They took before-and-after photos of the surgery as well.. I don't remember the exact cost, but it wasn't cheap. The thing is... I brought a photo of someone with pretty inner double eyelids and asked for long, clear eyes like that, with the double eyelids kept as natural as possible. But after the immediate swelling went down, by around 5 months later.. there was absolutely no sign I had surgery done. Not at all.. It hurt too, and I had the stitches removed, but I really don't know why it ended up looking like nothing happened..... People who knew I had surgery later ran into me and said, 'But didn't you say you had double eyelid surgery???' and people who didn't know about the surgery couldn't tell anything had changed... It was disappointing because I spent only money and time and there was no change at all.
