I applied for a consultation after seeing the revision-surgery event and reviews on a community site. The facility was clean, the waiting area was well set up, and it was convenient because the restroom was near the entrance inside the hospital, and parking was easy too.
I first had a detailed consultation with the office manager, then with the surgeon. Usually the surgeon reviews the manager’s consultation first and then gives the consultation, but maybe that step was skipped because I had to repeat the same things from the beginning. The doctor was calm and spoke only about what was necessary, and answered every question in detail.
The event price was the starting price for revision surgery, and the final cost varied a lot because pricing was set by material and by area.
Originally I planned to have alar base reduction after revision nose surgery, but they advised against lifting the nasal tip and reducing the philtrum, so I added nasolabial angle correction surgery.
I got a discount for writing a review and making a same-day reservation, but the discount was not very large. When I consulted at other hospitals, I was usually quoted 7.5 to 8.8 million won for the nose alone, and I thought this price was reasonable with nasolabial angle correction included.
The nurses in the operating room were kind, and because I had autologous costal cartilage I was under sedation anesthesia for 4 and a half hours, but I did not feel nauseous or have a hard time when waking up from anesthesia at all.
The doctor’s preferred style is somewhat glamorous, so I checked the good and bad points in the review photos from this hospital and passed that along, and I think it was reflected well.
For the week after surgery, when I went in every day for aftercare, the doctor and nurses took good care of me.
Rather, from the day of surgery onward, I got the impression that the front desk staff were somewhat indifferent? blunt. But since I was in a sensitive state after revision surgery and focused on the result, I think they were trying not to clash with patients.
They do a lot of severe nose surgeries, so I trusted their skill. I had a lot of scar tissue around my nose and philtrum, so the result was not dramatic, but I think about 80% of what I wanted to improve was improved.
