I went in for a consultation for revision surgery because the double-eyelid line was uneven and I wanted to match the thicker side to the thinner side. The manager spoke with me first, and on the medical chart there was an anatomically drawn eye diagram, so while looking at that, they explained what parts would be touched during surgery, how it would change, and what kind of procedure would be done. Then I had the main consultation with the surgeon. The surgeon kept speaking informally and treating me like a child, which made me uncomfortable. My age is not low, so; but customer service and surgical skill are separate matters. Based on what I had discussed with the manager, they went into more detail. They said it is more difficult to make the line thinner again than to make it thicker, that the adhesed tissue has to be released and redone elsewhere, and that tissue from above would need to be brought down and used. They said many difficult things. Maybe because I went in the morning, I was tired and could not focus well ㅡㅠ They told me two surgical options: 1) revision surgery on both eyes, 2) revision surgery on only one eye. For option 1, the cost was the highest among the places I had visited so far.. more expensive than a nose surgery. They said aftercare would be provided for 2 years. Option 2 was cheaper, but they said the chance of it loosening was high, and that even if it loosened, they would not do revision surgery again. The consultation looked very professional. Also, there is a consultation fee of 5,000 won.
