I went because I thought it was an otic nevus, and after being diagnosed with melasma I had a second Ruby laser treatment. Since it is so well known, it took a very long time to get an appointment for the diagnosis, and even during treatment there was endless waiting... It probably took about two hours each time I went. After the first treatment it was removed very cleanly, and they said two sessions would probably be enough, so I went through to the second. But after the second treatment, brown borders appeared on both cheekbones exactly along the laser-treated area... I was applying whitening cream well and being extra careful with sunscreen just like after the first treatment, but because of those laser-area borders it looks blotchy... They say laser toning would help, but honestly I feel deflated and worried.
