I went for a consultation around the end of December, had surgery the following week, and now it is day 8 after surgery. It was the last one on my hospital visiting list, and I had already put down a deposit at the previous hospital, so I was debating hard whether to go... I am glad I went! My eyelid skin is thick and my eyes and eyebrows are relatively close together, so I always worried that after surgery I would end up looking fierce or with puffy eyelids. Here, before I even asked about that, they brought up whether I was worried about exactly those issues. I rub my eyes a lot because of allergic rhinitis, so the area in front of my eyes is thick, but even without me saying anything they noticed it first and planned the surgery while considering all of that. That was extremely, extremely, extremely good! I visited eight other hospitals, and most of them never mentioned any of this, so I definitely thought the doctor here was very attentive. At the previous hospitals, the consultation only continued if I asked questions, but here they covered all the things I was curious or worried about before I even asked, so I decided to have the surgery.
It has been a little over a week, and my friends who also had double eyelid surgery say the line is pretty, and even my picky mom said the line was really well formed. The staff are all so kind, especially the operating room nurse, who was so friendly and cute,,,, amazing,,,, so sweet! Every time I come in for a follow-up, I can see the doctor, and because they are gentle and kind, I can ask questions without feeling awkward, which I like! But if someone wants a really obvious, glamorous line, this might be better as another hospital. They seem to prioritize going as safely as possible so there is less risk of failure... It is good, but a little disappointing. I also regret that I did not insist harder on inner corner surgery to open it more. But I do think that line height or inner corner surgery can be done later, so it is better than overdoing it and ruining it... Anyway, overall this is a hospital I am happy with. It was worth visiting 9 places...
