Hmm, the disappointing part was that the director didn’t really seem to think about what kind of skull shape is beautiful. It was more like, “Patients have severe skull-shape complexes, so if I use bone cement that I would normally put in the forehead to reshape the back of the head, they really like it.” My own occiput isn’t that flat, so I’m not really sure, but since the patients like it, I also work hard to do the surgeries.~.~ I mean... that kind of feeling. So overall it’s good, but hmm, it feels like there’s a bit of a lack of understanding of skull beauty? I’ve observed so much that I can explain very specifically what kind of skull shape is pretty (for example, the back portion of the skull from the forehead to the crown should be long, level, and flat so that whether you tie your hair up or wear it down, it looks elegant and pretty), but this person seemed to just fill it in and stop there... When I asked whether I could have some say in the design, they said no, so honestly it felt like they were just saying I should take it as they do it. T_T I mean, it’s my occiput, but I can’t even say what shape I want, and they didn’t really listen well either. Two staff members handle the consultation, and at first the kind staff member explains things very kindly and carefully, but that person somehow feels like the director’s subordinate, and once the main director comes in, the consultation becomes kind of... not exactly friendly, more like casually indifferent, not terribly unpleasant, but with the feeling that they aren’t very good at listening? Anyway, I kept holding them back and barely managed to explain that I didn’t like my occiput because it was like this and that... Of course they’re good people, and as long as the doctor performs the surgery honestly that’s fine, but I’m still noting the disappointing parts.
