Because my large, wide nose was a complex, I decided to have surgery. I had the tip corrected with septal cartilage and the bridge with silicone. I did not want to change the bridge, but I was told that if only the tip were lifted, it would droop, so silicone was inserted. When I went for a follow-up a week after the splint was removed, they said the silicone near the glabella was too high and lowered the bridge through an early correction at no extra cost. Before the early correction, I kept wondering if this was really right... but after it, it was not dramatically prettier, though compared with my old nose it seems pretty decent in its own way. At every follow-up visit, they carefully asked whether anything was uncomfortable and made sure to explain the precautions. It has been almost a month since the surgery, and once the swelling goes down a bit more, I think I will like the tip shape even more... I wonder if it will really not go down any further? The surgery started with a consultation at 9 o'clock, and I woke up from sedation a little before 3. After resting a bit more, I went home at 4. They do only one patient per day, and in the afternoon they seem to spend time treating postoperative patients, checking progress, or doing consultations.
