I struggled with a sagging, turtle-like look after a prior medial canthoplasty revision, then got a secondary canthoplasty at another clinic and improved a lot, but one eye still bothered me because the inner corner from the revision was unique, the epicanthal area looked puffy, it was not pointed but rounded, and the front of the eye felt cramped, so I visited. I had also gone to another clinic for consultation, and there they said it could not be done and that I should just live with it.. Since the surgical area was not large, they said it would be hard to get the result I wanted. I was worried they would say it could not be done here too, but both the director and the manager were so, so kind that I felt comfortable during the consultation, and in the end they said it was possible, so I had the surgery.
Right after surgery, when I looked at my eyes. I wanted them to feel as open as my right eye, but I was not completely satisfied because I worried they might have made it too small. The manager said it would open up a bit more after suture removal, so I tried to stay calm and wait as much as possible. It was a small area, but it was still surgery, so there must have been swelling. After the swelling and sutures were removed, it looked a bit more open, which was a relief, and I was very grateful.
Now, as the tissue recovers again, maybe it is in a puffing-up phase, I am worried it might heal closed like this, but they said it would swell up and then settle down again, so I am waiting T_T Even after the surgery ended, the clinic manager keeps checking my progress regularly by looking at photos and giving feedback, so I feel like I can trust them and wait.
This clinic has many reviews for medial canthoplasty revision, but it was hard to find reviews about secondary canthoplasty after revision. I am leaving this review in hopes it helps even a little after reading my post!
