I was deliberating over whether to do only an upper canthoplasty, an upper canthoplasty plus double eyelid surgery, or double eyelid surgery only, and which style would be best if I did double eyelids, such as in-out or semi-out. They honestly told me not to do the upper canthoplasty. They marked about three different crease lines and helped me choose two, and among those two they even showed me the intermediate line in detail several times, so I could make a careful choice. They also suggested fat removal and eye muscle correction because after double eyelid surgery, fat could bulge out between the back of the eye and the eyebrow. The estimate for fat removal + eye muscle correction + partial incision ended up costing several hundred thousand won more than similar combinations at other hospitals.. (It may be because it is a private clinic, but the price difference still seems quite large.) I had also heard from another hospital that eye muscle correction and fat removal were unnecessary, so I wondered if they might be adding things in, but it could genuinely be needed... I am not sure.
