After having my child, I developed accessory breast tissue. My obstetrics and gynecology clinic connected me with the breast surgery department at Ajou University, and I had accessory breast tissue removal surgery there, but the result was so awful... I still have scar marks from the blood-drain pockets on both sides near the back of my armpits. I was hospitalized and suffered through it, and on top of that I wasted a lot of money.
Accessory breast tissue removal should be done at a plastic surgery clinic that removes the accessory breast glandular tissue and fat, and also trims the extra skin left in the armpit.
Because I live outside the capital area, I was looking online mainly at clinics run by board-certified plastic surgeons, and by chance I visited the Silhouette Plastic Surgery website and sent an online inquiry. They answered exactly as written above.
They replied, "After removing the accessory breast glandular tissue and fat, we also remove the extra skin left in the armpit, and finish by bonding it with skin glue." So I asked about the cost by phone, then made a reservation by paying a deposit for same-day consultation and same-day surgery.
I am a bit reckless in this regard, and I am currently struggling after getting double eyelid surgery with two folds. I do not go for consultations at multiple places. But I had same-day consultation and same-day surgery for accessory breast tissue removal, forehead lift, and two types of contouring surgery, and even though I had no major side effects and was about 70% satisfied after surgery, I keep choosing hospitals like this. I really should try to fix that now... but since I live outside the capital area, going to Seoul once is a burden.
I had the accessory breast removal surgery around 2006 to 2007. After the surgery, my left armpit opened up, so it was stitched again at the breast surgery department of Gumi CHA Hospital. During the accessory breast removal surgery, they also removed tissue extending to the side of the chest, which really helped me wear sleeveless tops, so I was very happy. I think I must have asked them to do that. And probably it was the right armpit, but I was not satisfied with the stitched area after skin excision, so I requested after-service online and they scheduled it right away without hesitation.
Compared with other plastic surgery clinics, Silhouette Plastic Surgery is much more active and sincere with online consultations than I expected, so as a patient I am very grateful.
One thing I regret is that glandular tissue remains at the boundary where the armpit transitions into the arm. It would be perfect if they widened the treatment area just a little farther up. Also, when excising the extra skin in the armpit after accessory breast removal, if they matched the amount of skin excised on the left and right sides more closely, the patient would have a more even feeling of skin tightness and skin shape, and it would not be as bothersome.
Since about 15 years have passed, I am sure they are performing even more perfectly now ^^
Next time I come for a consultation for surgery in another area, please be gentle and warm during the examination.
