(Silicone + autologous costal cartilage + ear cartilage)
I had everything removed early after 11 days Reason: pain/pressure between the eyebrows + change in impression + a high nose didn’t suit me + foreign-body sensation + anxiety about the silicone (I had it done at the same hospital where I had the surgery, so it’s hard to share info ㅠ The cost was free)
Original nose: a bulbous nose with the nasal tip slightly rounded, slightly small, and short Nostrils were barely visible from the front
Before removal, I had consultations at clinics specializing in removal, and both places assured me that I wouldn’t get a saddle nose or an upturned nose and that it would return to a shape similar to my original nose, so I had it removed
It’s day 2, and swelling is... really nonexistent. Is it the doctor’s skill? I didn’t have swelling even on the day of surgery, or maybe I’m just the type who doesn’t swell much?.. Anyway, I want to take the taping off already (I heard that after total removal, they tied the spread alar cartilages? that had been separated to put in the support strut)
After removing the cartilage and silicone that were inside my nose, the foreign-body sensation disappeared right away, and now my nose sometimes stings and throbs, especially the bridge... well, I guess that means the wound is healing The nasal tip is soft and squishy. Maybe it’s because I had bulbous-nose correction, or because during the procedure they removed some soft tissue? The nasal alae feel like my original skin, but when I touch the nasal tip it’s soft and squishy, kind of fascinating..;; I’m also sleeping really comfortably these days, so I’m so glad.. I should have been more careful about nose surgery ㅠㅠ Anyway, right now my nose seems similar to my original nose. Once more swelling goes down and the contraction period passes, the shape will gradually settle, right??
My cute nose.. you really went through a lot.. I’ll never do my nose again. I can’t have it opened a third time;;
