One-month review after revision rhinoplasty (broken silicone -> no implant, crooked nose correction)

Posting a one-month revision-rhinoplasty update for the record lol. Not long after my first surgery, I was in a car accident and fractured the nasal bone, and my nose became noticeably crooked to one side! I kept living with it, and then last year I also bumped my nose hard in another accident, which made the deviation worse. It also felt different to the touch than before, so I went to the hospital for a CT scan and found out the silicone had broken... So I decided on revision surgery, and after consulting at several places, I got revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Choosungchul at D-Day! At other places, it felt like they focused mainly on height, but here they explained the crooked nose and the silicone damage together, which made it much easier to understand, and I liked that they explained why I should have it done without an implant, taking into account that it was a revision and also the stability. Personally, I also liked that they guided me toward a natural, stable result rather than making it too high. The surgery included removing the old silicone, removing the capsule, correcting the crooked part, and smoothing the dorsal hump, and they reused my existing cartilage! As for the one-month status, the major swelling is almost gone, though my nose still feels a little swollen in the morning lol. I had a bit of bruising early on around the sides of the nose and under the eyes, but after about two weeks it was almost all gone, and the tip is still firm with a slightly reduced sensation! Before surgery, the crookedness from the front was surprisingly bothering me, but now it’s corrected enough that I barely think about it, and the side profile is much smoother after the hump was addressed! There’s still some minor swelling, so overall it still feels a little thick. Because I went without an implant, I almost don’t feel any foreign-body sensation, and the texture feels natural, so that part is definitely more comfortable. On the other hand, the inside of my nose feels a bit dry, and sometimes there’s a tugging sensation or the tip still feels firm, but they said that should loosen up with time, so I’m waiting it out! lol There’s almost no pain, so daily life was actually possible sooner than I expected! It’s not fully settled yet, so I’ll keep watching it, but just resolving the broken silicone and crooked nose together already makes me pretty satisfied right now lol. I’m waiting because I think it’ll look even more natural after 3 to 6 months!
