It’s been 5 years since my breast surgery, and I spent time without getting a proper checkup. Since it has been quite a while since the surgery, I really thought I needed to get a proper screening now, so I visited The W Clinic near Sinsa Station. At first I thought it would only be an ultrasound, but they said that if I wanted a more accurate look, it would be better to do mammography as well, so I had both done. I was worried because many people say mammograms can be painful, but this is a specialized breast surgery clinic and they have the latest equipment like a university hospital, so it didn’t hurt at all. They explained everything very carefully while looking at the ultrasound, and especially because they double-checked with an AI program and said there were no abnormalities, I really felt reassured. It made me realize why a specialized hospital matters... T_T After the exam, they also carefully gave me the AI report, and they said the accuracy is 99%, so I could feel at ease. Dr. Kim Jae-hong and all the staff who guided me were kind, so I was able to get checked in complete comfort. They said I only need to do the exam once a year, and I plan to come back exactly one year later. It has been some time since my breast surgery, so I had been quietly worried about whether there might be capsular contracture or rupture, but after getting such a thorough examination at The W, all of those worries disappeared.
