My chin deficiency was not severe, but I was always bothered by the fact that my side profile wasn’t clear. I also tended to avoid side-angle photos as much as possible, and every time I looked in the mirror it was an unnecessary source of stress. So I started thinking about surgery and visited several hospitals for consultations while looking around, and I felt more trust in oral and maxillofacial surgery, which specializes in the oral structure, than in a general plastic surgery clinic that handles many different areas. Among them, Yang Yundol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery gave a very detailed consultation and explained everything in an easy-to-understand way, which built trust, and I think that was the biggest factor in my decision. Pain after surgery was much easier than I expected, and for about a month there was swelling and some discomfort when speaking, but daily life was still fully manageable. And Yang Yundol consistently took care of the follow-up, which I really appreciated. Personally, removing the stitches felt more painful than the surgery itself, but they also gave me anesthetic gargles and tried to make it as painless as possible, so I was grateful for that too. The change was natural, but people around me often say my face looks clearer and more refined. If I don’t say I had surgery, they can’t tell, which makes me even happier. I’m sure many people worry about pain, but I don’t think that part needs too much concern. There is some discomfort for a few days, but I think it is a worthwhile surgery because it can solve a complex I had been worrying about for a long time. I’d recommend it to anyone who, like me, has been stressed by a recessed chin.
