I have a slightly bulbous nose, a drooping nose, and an extremely soft nose. People around me always said I would look amazing if I only did my nose. It has been over 8 months since my non-implant rhinoplasty, and I no longer go back to the clinic for follow-up visits. Cartilage + septum were used. The goal of the surgery was to improve my side profile. I went into surgery without much ambition, but after seeing that only my side profile had improved, I did slightly regret not also making my nose a bit thinner and more refined since I was already having it done. But after 3 months, even the front view swelling naturally went down. People do not really seem to know that I had nose surgery (or maybe they are just pretending not to know... though the goal was not to improve the front view anyway, and even the doctor said my bridge was already somewhat high, so it could be confused with silicone being in there). It reminded me that people are not paying as much attention to others' faces as I had thought... Right after surgery, because of my body type, I swelled up only in a pufferfish-like way and got only very faint yellow bruising. The incision line healed very smoothly, and before 6 months had passed it was so smooth that you could not even tell I had been cut. In fact, by the 1-month mark, I already felt the surgical finishing? hygiene? not sure how to say it, but I acknowledged that the finish was clean, and I felt the cost was worth it for the worry I had about complications. (Still, for a non-implant surgery, thinking about how I paid 440, it was expensive. I remember other places I consulted being at most 380, I think T_T) Whenever I went for follow-up and asked about what I was curious about, they answered kindly. (Every time I kept staring at my nose, asking things like, 'What is that lump?' they would say it was the inferior turbinate... haha;;) There is a side-profile photo taken right after surgery when they said I was only very lightly swollen, and now, 8 months later, it seems the nose height is slightly lower than in that photo, but overall it is similar. The scar tissue was a bit noticeable until the 3-month mark, but after that it gradually disappeared.
The staff gets 3 stars. I did not feel they were especially kind. It felt like they were only doing what their job required at work. If I were to give 5 stars, they would need to be kinder.
If you just look at my nose, is it pretty? Well... so-so, but it matches my face well, and I used to hate it when people took pictures of me, but now I feel confident even when my boyfriend or friends shove a camera in front of me. I have come to love my side profile. This surgery review will be my first and last review from this community.
