This is my subjective review of contouring surgery at Cookie, written for people like me who have a complex about their face shape ((long post)) Because of my uneven facial lines, hats and similar things made my face stand out even more, and when the wind blew I was always worried my face shape would show, so it stressed me out a lot. I thought it would get better as I got older, but it only became more and more of a complex, so I got too stressed. In the end I decided this could only improve with surgery, so I went ahead and had contouring surgery.
I wanted a small, smooth doll-like line, and it was important to go somewhere that does cheekbone reduction well. I had also heard there are a lot of revision cases for cheekbones and that the difficulty is fairly high, so I looked for clinics with good cheekbone surgery reviews.
The reason I chose Cookie after visiting several clinics was that Director Jeongseongmo is famous for being good at contouring surgery. Also, they said high-L zygomatic osteotomy was possible. It's a risky technique that not just anywhere can do, but they said the effect is clear, so I had it done at Cookie.
For reference, I told the doctor I wanted Karina. Not ashamed, right? The doctor seemed a bit surprised, but clearly told me what was possible and what wasn't lol. Still, they said they would make the line I wanted as much as possible.
Contour surgery really feels like a race against time... It takes quite a while for the remaining swelling to go down. But after the 3-month mark, everyone around me, including my family, kept saying my face looked like it was disappearing lol. I could feel that my face looked smaller because the area was definitely reduced. Especially, the face used to feel uneven and protruding all over, but that feeling is gone. Even if I don't quite look like Karina, my face feels like a quail egg now lol, so I'm happy.
The appearance-related anxiety that had tormented me my whole life disappeared lol. It really seems like doing contouring surgery sooner is better. Now I wear the hats I used to avoid with confidence, and I don't even worry about the wind anymore. I can also eat hard foods like radish cubes without a problem. I still don't feel any sagging or anything like that.
