Because I saw many cases around me where people had lower blepharoplasty and looked beautiful afterward, I thought it was a very simple surgery. After visiting 5 hospitals for consultations and doing my own research, I had surgery at the hospital where 2 of my friends had successful lower blepharoplasty, and now it has been 8 months. I also had micro-fat grafting. It has been emotionally exhausting beyond words. From the asymmetry between my eyes to the dryness, it was incredibly hard for me (the dryness and foreign-body sensation are still severe) At every visit I get a scar tissue injection, and then another month passes, and another month passes, but now I have given up. It feels like it is some kind of surgical issue, but they keep telling me it would not be like this if I had done a second fat grafting and only blaming me. Now I am too scared of surgery, so for the time being I am giving up on appearance and thinking about a revision surgery in a few years. Because I experienced these side effects, I realized lower blepharoplasty is not an easy surgery.
